Heavy Metal Precision Machine is a small mechanical engineer run machine shop in Denver, CO specializing in big, heavy, difficult to machine and weird parts.

About:
A mechanical engineer began his machining path building a CNC router in the basement of a college house. Over the years, he gained experience micro machining stainless and nickel alloys for aerospace then onto larger robotics components. A unicorn in engineering, having actual hands on, practical machining yields an expertise in design for manufacture.

5/16 TIG fillet welds

Several all stainless components machined and welded for a specialty assembly.

New to us Haas VF-5 en route to the new shop.

Stainless steel components for propane flame effects

Machined Stainless Mounts

Mounts welded to tubing

Assembled for flame effects

Sometimes really weird stuff happens, like machining the lid of a fire hydrant.
